dragging day

Posted on Aug 18, 2009 under blahs at work, life in the office | No Comment

Everybody’s busy preparing for the ISO/TS 16949 audit. Well, the audit has started yesterday and our department is scheduled tomorrow. Just as soon as i arrived at work today, i was torn between using an old or new training checklist form. Tsk! Just one of the many things to be mindful of.

I so wanted to be absent tomorrow but for the love of LC, i shall be present. Not that i’d be audited but who knows?

I’m still at work right now and i wanna go home badly. My friend (Pai) gave me the copy of Ugly Betty season 3 episodes 17-24 already. I can’t wait to go home and watch it!!! Thank you very much Pai, you’re such an angel! :P

So yeah, goodluck to our department for tomorrow’s audit.

have a nice day!

Short but sweet. Have a happy week ahead as well. Me? Can’t wait for Thursday since it’s going to be a non-working holiday the day after! Yehey!!! I’m doing a happy dance. :)

working on sidelines

Posted on Aug 17, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

I feel out of place. Or better yet not in fad. Not in fashion as it would suggest anyway. I think i alone do not have a sideline work or business amongst my peers. To name a few - some are into buy and sell, lending, farming and photography. One photographer came up to me one time and asked me about blogging. He’d want to blog about his photo shoots and make it to some directory listing so as to promote his business better. Wow! I just could think of their extra monthly income and how much it would be of help or perhaps fun to be able to have more money. I get to earn in blogging but it isn’t as much as they are earning right now. I so don’t have a talent in business or anything related. Or i must just not have the zealous interest. Ahh! I should maybe try this endeavor. Who knows?

out there

I’m really not a swimmer but i do enjoy going to beaches. Summer wouldn’t be complete without hitting at least one destination. Philippines wouldn’t come last when it comes to pristine beaches and resorts. But it wouldn’t hurt to be able to visit some other places. If i win in a lottery, i definitely would go to Borabora somewhere in French Polynesia. If i’m in the US, i sure would go to Hawaii and Florida. For the meantime, let me just check out some cheap destin hotels while waiting for my luck. I will also go to Mexico, Bahamas and Maldives. Indonesia and Thailand of course in the Asian region. Latest addendum in my list is Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. My list is quite long already but how i do start? Tsk… :P

This i bought for the gift i gave to my colleague’s baby. It comes in pink so i never had second thoughts of buying it since the recipient is a baby girl anyway.

Ain’t a baby anymore but I woudn’t mind if you’d give me gifts surprisingly stored in this cute and unique paper bag. ;)

sa Carbon

On Friday, i was just at home sleeping since it was a holiday for us. I wanted to attend the 1st Friday mass at Sto. Nino Church but i woke up very late i was pretty sure i couldn’t make it even to the last mass schedule of the day. I went to downtown area still to buy some gift items and met my friend Glorie. Never in my entire life had i tried hanging out in Colon except of those bazars and street markets but we actually went to a place that looks like Larshan. It’s somewhere near Gaisano Main. If you’re looking for not too expensive food with some bands playing, you may want to visit this place. Downtown area i guess is booming these days.

Saturday. I tried waking up earlier than usual as i had to attend a baptism rites (my colleague’s daughter) in Lapulapu. Much to my effort, i still was not able to make it. And to my surprise, i saw a wedding ceremony instead when i arrived! I was at the wrong venue but not exactly the wrong place. I should have gone to the chapel and not to the church, hehe. After the reception at Grand Majestic in Marina Mall, i went immediately to Ayala Mall for the birthday party of my (other) colleague’s daughter. An hour after, i shopped some toiletries then went home. I left the house again, this time together with my mother. We went to Carbon market - purchased cloths/textiles and had my wristwatch repaired. Went to some Korean bazars then off we went to a department store to buy some baby stuff for my nephew and niece. ‘Twas a long day i actually consumed (which i normally don’t) all of my halohalo serving.

Sunday. I was gonna go to Carbon again but i got so tired and i felt dizzy. PMS, you know.

P.S. Ang mga bisaya ra’y makasabot asa ug unsa ang Carbon. heheh. :D Only the Cebuanos will understand what and where Carbon is. ;)

short week

Posted on Aug 06, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

First week of August is very short, workwise. Thursday is Cebu Province Day, hence it’s a non-working holiday for the entire province of Cebu. But the company i’m working with decided we have the no-work day on Friday instead. That gives us a long weekend to enjoy. Another unexpected non-working holiday happened yesterday. The announcement was made last Monday for everyone to pay homage to the burial of former Philippine president, Madame Cory Aquino. The idea of having not to work was good but knowing the reason behind is very sad. The Philippines had to bid farewell to the very woman who fought for democracy. After over a year of battle with colon cancer, she now joins our Lord. May she rest in peace.

Since i’m home most of the time because i’ve been just idling, either just sitting or sleeping or eating. I better check out this Solo Slim now and see how can i benefit from it. I really have to lose weight otherwise i’d have to buy new set of clothes! Arrgghh another expenses! Why am i so adamant in keeping shape! Tsk!

I’m not sure what to do tomorrow, maybe i’ll just do some household chores, that’ll be a good exercise for me! I wanted to go somewhere but we’ll see if the weather gets better. It’s not yet raining but you know how crazy our weather gets.

downtown

Posted on Aug 06, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | 1 Comment

Ever familiar with these lines?

When you’re alone and life is making you lonely. You can always go downtown. When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry seems to help, I know, downtown.

I’m singing it right now and true enough i went to downtown last weekend. I’m somehow still affected by the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson and the recent death of our former Philippine President, Madame Cory Aquino. I shed tears while watching the live telecast of her burial yesterday.

I went to one of the department stores hoping that the tv stands i saw weeks before are still on sale. Apparently, they’re no longer available. I saw some cute bags but i stopped myself from buying. Ending, the more i was depressed! :D

Downtown, things’ll be great when you’re downtown.

I’m pretty sure Cebu downtown will be very busy again as ‘ber’ months is approaching.
