wrong send

Posted on Nov 10, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

Before i get to my story, let me touch my previous entry. Does the phrase disability appeal sound interesting? It sure is. We never know what’s going to happen to us so i guess it’s safer if we know if we are getting this benefit from our employers, insurance, etc.

Moving on to my story. Isn’t it irritating at times when we receive text messages that are not for us? Especially if the sender persists that he/she got the correct number? Cebuanos usually call that ‘wrong send’. And i got one this afternoon which was sent twice. It said (as translated in English, it’s a Tagalog message) - How are you all in the Philippines? This is my new roaming number. I’m about to send you guys some stuff and money, including the ones for you. You all take care.

I humbly replied back and said you got the wrong number. Now, that was one text message i wish was intended really for me! Hahah! Who would not want to receive package and gifts and money!??

I presume the message was coming from a Pinoy working abroad who is trying to make her/his family back home happy. Thanks to him/her and to the rest of thousands of Filipinos out there who are working so hard for the sake of those they left behind. I just do hope the recipients get to appreciate it and realize that they are all labor of love. And to never abuse the kindness.

Hayy!!! Packages anyone? More than willing to accept here. Heheh! :D

inevitables

Posted on Nov 10, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

It is said that the only two permanent things on earth are debt and death. That being said, is it good then to have an insurance? I’m not sure about that so let me read more about life insurance lead and their different offers.

Talk about the inevitables - Christmas is just around the corner! Hurray! Truly my most favorite all-time holiday. Just how time flies quickly? It seems like the other day when we had our Christmas party? Now i remember the pink scarf i asked from my Manito. My celebrated scarf has gone to international countries like Hongkong and Macau. My officemate borrowed it and if she indeed use it, it’s now in America. :)

P.S. A friend will be celebrating her birthday this Saturday. Let’s just say, aging (beautifully) is surely an inevitable one!

department christmas party

Posted on Nov 04, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

Yay! It’s already November and before we know it, it’s December! Time really flies sooo fast! The department has started organizing the party committee. I’m thankful i’m no longer part of the committee. It would be so much fun but equally tiresome. I’m sure there will be the usual kris kringle. I know it’s too much to ask but can i wish for a Samsung HDTV? Geez, i can just imagine what my viewing pleasure would be if i own one! Meanwhile, i’m starting to check out possible gifts for my godchildren. Kids, i know you’ve been trying to be good this year but i can’t promise that i’ll be your most generous santa. Lol! :P

meeting my elementary classmates

Posted on Nov 04, 2009 under blahs, my thoughts with infos | No Comment

Going back to my previous post, i did meet my classmates in elementary. Though only a few made it to the mini reunion but it was great just the same. It’s nice to see how some things have changed but we are still the good old students of GES. :) I will tell you more about it in my other blog. Got pictures already that they share online. I will have it uploaded in my other blog as well. Good to know that most if not all are doing good.

So as chitchatted, one of them is changing career. A former account manager who is now a registered nurse. Let me check out philadelphia jobs and these might give me ideas should i decide to shift careers. Two of them used to work with the finance department of the company i’m currently working with. They all said they’ve been better when they left. What’s that left for me to interpret? :D
