So, before i enjoy the holidays… let me give you a glimpse of the Christmas parties this year with my colleagues.

Me: Hello, good afternoon.
Caller: Hello, can i talk to Miss LC.
Me: Yep, speaking!
Caller: Ah maam, i called to let you know that you just won for yourself an insurance certificate!
Me: Whatt? How did i win? How did you get my name? And what’s that certificate all about?
Caller: A friend or colleague of yours might have endorsed your name and you are one of our random winners which will be given a certificate for an accident insurance for a year. ( I really don’t understand what she’s talking about. And i wasn’t believing the idea that i would just be getting something out of nothing)
Me: So what do i do?
Caller: Just bring 3 valid ids to claim your prize maam. Do you have a company id?
Me: Yes.
Caller: How about an atm?
Me: Yes
Caller: Does the atm have a photo of yours?
Me: No
Caller: Do you other atm account?
Me: No
Caller: Ows?
Me: *laughing to myself! And she didn’t believe that i have another atm account! huh! Maybe she could have asked further if i have some phone check account too?
Caller: Can you claim the prize tomorrow maam?
Me: No, cause i’m busy.
Caller: What about on Saturday maam?
Me: It’s our department party. And it’s a whole day affair.
Caller: Ows?
Me: *laughing. she didn’t believe me again! lol!
Caller: Maam, we have a deadline in claiming the prizes.
Me: Ok, then just forfeit my prize if i can’t claim it.
Caller: Ok, thanks for your honesty maam.
Me: And now she believed me?
I know these callers are just doing their jobs but the MO is just so tacky. Come on! Can they just really give you something that instant without getting something from you? Hmmnnn…
1. Tell us about a night that you spent with someone who was a stranger, yet by the end of the night you were very close.
Complete stranger? Like you just met him/her at that moment? I don’t think that ever happened to me already.
2. When is the last time you rode the bus?
Earlier. Our ride to the venue for the department Christmas party is a bus.
3. Describe the last time you stood up for a cause.
Aww i can’t remember.
4. What is something you would like to do, but you’re afraid of the risk(s)?
For now, i’m afraid to check if it’s really greener on the other side.
5. What would you most like to accomplish before the year is over?
Nothing much. Except paying all my credit cards but it’s not going to happen.
6. Name something you’ll miss about 2009.
Palawan. Sagada. Places i visited.
7. If you could invent something, what would it be?
A miracle pill.
8. What first got you started blogging?
I always like to write. I just write about anything.
9. How did you find this meme?
Through Saturday 9? hehe!
Of course, they’re not of the best quality but as long as they’re functional, it’s what really matters. I was able to buy screw drivers, ladle, nail brush, etc. Each item cost only 10 pesos and i brought home a lot of goodies with my 100 pesos. Now, if only i could buy kitchen sinks for only 10 pesos then i’d be more than happy. But i guess that’s too much to ask already.
The bazaar in MEPZ1 will be around until the holidays. I’d have to go back to buy a magazine rack. The stall selling it closes very early. I’d always end up buying something else instead of the rack! Argghhh!
Off topic. Last night while watching Trip na Trip, i realized a lot of our people are still suffering from the havoc of the typhoons. Maybe it’s a good idea if we have mobile homes especially those who are living near bodies of water. I don’t know if it’s a sensible idea though but at least they could just move during typhoon season.
Another off topic. I think the show of Boy Abunda entitled The Bottomline is ok. It’s quite interesting and not boring. It allows us to know more about our politicians and other famous public figures.
