Saw an old friend last week and was surprised to learn that she already got 3 kids. She definitely don’t look like it. I mean she look very gorgeous and very sexy. I wondered what’s her secret so i never let go of the chance of asking her. She said that she’s a full time mom and having to tend to her 3 active kids is enough exercise. But to be truly fit, she does exercise on a regular basis, eat a balanced diet and take some fat loss supplements to aid in getting rid of unwanted fats. Oh boy, if only i have the same descipline as she have, then maybe i’d be fit and fab as her. She’s a mother at that and she still finds time to do it. Why can’t i when i have all the time!

One of my colleagues forwarded to me an article about a holywood personality who underwent cosmetic surgery. That’s nothing new. But the interesting part is that this starlet had 10 surgeries in just one day. I wondered why she had to do it? I watch her in her reality tv show and i find her really pretty. For me, there’s nothing to be changed of her physically. Now, i don’t find her pretty! Lol! Well, competition is tough according to her, she’s just keeping up. As for me, i’m a freak of anything surgical so i better look for the best under eye creams now for my eye bags. I still can’t get over thinking of having 10 procedures, it’s as if she joined a reality tv show about turning ugly ducklings to beautiful swans.

It’s a very lazy weekend for me. One thing that keeps me home is watching TV series. For this week, i’m on marathon of 24. I’m about to finish season 2 already. Have so much to catch up since it’s already on season 8 for its current airing. I only move to pee or eat. This afternoon i had to buy some stuff at a nearby supermarket but because i was in a much hurry to get back to watching the series i forgot to buy some acne medication for a friend. I still have tomorrow though to buy it for her. Right now, i can’t be disturbed! If not for blogging though. Heheh! Anyway i have to pause for a break from watching TV.

As you may know, i don’t have a brother so there are some things or topics about boys that i don’t get first hand answers immediately. But thanks that i’m an engineering dudette so i mingle with boys (say men) at the office because obviously the engineering world is dominantly populated by boys. Heck, what do i know about testosterone booster and stuff like that? Well, i read it from a magazine earlier today. Guess getting muscles wouldn’t be hard now a days. If women are crazy about getting rid of cellulites, men are crazy about getting some muscles. Heheh!

I just visited one social networking site and was awed by some friends posting pictures of gifts they just received. One friend told and showed me of gifts she received from a suitor. All the more that i was awed! Some men are just so generous. I wonder when can i meet such a man? LOL!

Well, the gift giving doesn’t end after the holidays. For heart’s day is here to come and it’s just about time to give and receive gifts once again. I appreciate personalized gifts very much since i think it has a little touch of uniqueness.

Speaking of gifts, i should be posting the items i received last Christmas so that i could acknowledge the donors fully.

There’s an old cliche among us Filipinos that living is expensive, but dying is even more expensive! It’s kinda odd but somehow has truth in it especially to people having a hard time trying to make ends meet. I once saw this documentary on TV that featured a family dealing with the loss of a family member. It’s already a turmoil having to deal with the grief but to deal with funeral cost is another story. The wife of the deceased even said she doesn’t have the time to mourn because she’s busy thinking of ways to raise money. It’s a little relief that the neighbors helped seek funds from the local baranggay officials. It’s really heartbreaking. After i saw the documentary, i’m more than appreciative of the simple things that i have. From somewhere, more people are suffering.

I can’t hide the fact that it’s almost 10 years since i graduated from college. I’m an engineering graduate batch 2000. You do the math and you’ll know my age! LOL!

I feel a bit sad when i saw some photo graduation invitations from the mall today. As you may know, few more days and its graduation time! I’m reminded by the promise i made with some of my college close friends. We agreed to meet after 10 years no matter what happens. I’m 50% sure it’s going to happen because one friend from Singapore called me and told me that she’s coming home on April. It’s a bit late from March but nevertheless, it’s still 10 years after. We are going to Bohol to meet some other friends. I’m crossing my fingers! Hope it does happen!

I might have a dinner with some other close friends also next next Friday. Ahhh the warmth of old friendships - so endearing.

It’s Thursday once again and what else is to follow - the weekend. Aint that fast? Days really go by so fast. Then comes the V day. Thank heavens it’s on a Sunday. LOL!

It’s really not a mellow Thursday for me since i attended 3 meetings today. I’ve been absent for the past two days so i pretty have to catch up on some of my tasks. Speaking of tasks - i’m now reminded to look for some cigars my friend has been asking me. She’s looking for something she could give to her uncle.

One week more to go and it’s February! Whew! Did i write my new year’s resolution already? #1 of it should be — to write related stories on time. Heheh!

6. What is the one thing that you wish the media would stop talking about? rumors and stuff that is not in anyway helping our present economic and peace situation

7. If you could be part of any band, which one would it be and who would you be and why? nah i don’t think so, i have a very bad singing voice

8. Do you live close to your immediate family members? If not, how far away are they? yes, very close.

9. Last seasonal question (promise): What did you do on New Year’s Eve? nothing much - cooked, ate and made some noise!

For the Cebuanos, the festive and jovial mood does not end after Christmas or new year’s celebration. The celebration is kinda extended because of the Sinulog festivities. The festival culminates with a grand mardigras every 3rd Sunday of January. The mardigras is just one of the many activities people are excited about.
